Virtual Programs

New in 2021: Introducing Passholder exclusive virtual programs geared towards children ages 2 – 12! Visit the Aquarium from the comfort of your home. Choose from the variety of program topics below. Each involves views of our animals and a live Q&A session with an Aquarium team member host.

All programs take place on Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed to you the day before the program. Virtual programs do not include Aquarium admission. Program availability is subject to change as programs are booked. Participating parties are responsible for having internet access. We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance.

Reptiles and Amphibians

The Aquarium has more than just fish. Start with Ohio animals to see if any look familiar to you from your area hikes. You may even recognize a turtle or frog from your own backyard! Move on to tropical animals that certainly cannot be seen in our local ponds and forests.

Exploring Ecosystems

Why aren’t there sharks in Lake Erie? Why do some animals only reside in specific habitats? Investigate ecosystems including a kelp forest and the open ocean. Compare and contrast different habitats by identifying key living and non-living elements in each.

Coral Reef Exploration

Get to know one of the most important habitats on earth. See fish of all shapes and colors and understand why coral reefs are referred to as the ‘rainforests of the sea’. Of course, spend some time viewing living coral and gain an appreciation for these critically important animals.

Crazy or "Spooky" Adaptations!

Seek out the wildest and weirdest adaptations that can be found among the animals in the Aquarium. Some adaptations are weird and creepy, many are fascinating, and all are awesome! Hear how sea stars eat, search for animals that can sting, and get an up-close look at shark teeth and find out if these animals are as scary as they may look.
