Spring Discovery Days

SPRING DISCOVERY DAYS

Now – Sunday, April 27, 10am – 5pm

Have you observed a dwarf seahorse’s bony plate exterior or watched a poison dart frog tap its tiny toes? Did you know that a spade-like lower jaw extension allows hungry little central stonerollers to scrape up algae? Were you aware that fused pelvic fins let ping-pong-ball-like lumpsuckers adhere to rocks and kelp so they’re not swept away by currents?

We’re highlighting these and other diminutive animals during Spring Discovery Days, now – April 27, 10am – 5pm daily. Daily animal encounters, small species shoutouts, a “Spot a Spotted” challenge, interactive Discovery Carts, a fill-in booklet and short videos are all part of this celebration of nature’s hidden influencers and included with regular Aquarium admission.

Also, join us for Splash Fund Ohio Turtle Tales Popups (Mondays, April 7, 14 & 21, 11:30am – 1:30pm). You’ll collect turtle trading cards while learning about conservation efforts for Blanding’s and spotted turtles, as well as internship opportunities and ways to support community education.

In addition to those daily activities, the Aquarium is offering an online A Little Trivia Giveaway (now – April 27; ages 18+, one entry per person) and Private Passholder Tours (Thursdays, March 27, April 3, 10, 17 & 24 and Fridays, March 28, April 4, 11, 18 & 25, 9 – 10am; $2 per adult or child member with advance registration).

$19.95 (ages 13 and older), $13.95 (ages 2-12), $0 (all Passholders and guests younger than 2)

Now through April 27, test your small species knowledge with A Little Trivia. Ages 18+. One entry per email.

Thursday & Friday mornings throughout Spring Discovery Days, Greater Cleveland Aquarium members are invited to an exclusive, pre-public opening private tour led by the Guest Experience team. Dive into intriguing details about some often-overlooked animals.
