The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is offering free admission for moms on Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 13, 10am – 5pm, last entry at 4pm) with the purchase of a child or adult general admission ticket. Whether it’s looking up at the “toothy grin” of a sandtiger shark in the seatube or being tickled by a cleaner shrimp, we want to help you give your mom, stepmom or grandma a memorable experience.
Children are invited to create personalized hand-trace, fish-themed Mother’s Day cards in the 1st floor classroom and the first 150 visiting moms receive a button. By completing a scavenger hunt, moms have the opportunity to win an Aquarium annual pass. And aquatic-themed commemorative group photos (specially priced at $6.99) will be available for purchase.
Fascinating facts about animal parenting behavior will be highlighted throughout the Aquarium. For example, did you know two litters of cownose stingray pups born at the Aquarium can be seen swimming in the touchpool? Weighing one to three pounds, newborn pups look like mini, fully formed versions of mature rays and even have functioning barbs.
Mother’s Day discounts can only be applied to in-person admission purchased on May 13 before 4pm at the Aquarium front ticket counter. Admission must be used that day and cannot be combined with another offer.
