The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is offering one (1) free admission for grandma or grandpa Friday, September 7 – Sunday, September 9, 10am – 5pm (last ticket sold at 4pm) with the purchase of one (1) child or adult general admission. “Whether you’re snapping cell phone pics with sandtiger sharks in our seatube, learning how archerfish spout streams of water to knock down prey or pretending to prepare fish food in our Imagiquarium playspace, an Aquarium visit is a memorable way to spend time with your grandkids,” says Director of Education and Interpretation, Erin Bauer. In addition to the BOGO admission discount, on Grandparents Day and throughout that weekend, the first 50 grandparents receive a commemorative button. Families can complete an architecture scavenger hunt for a chance to win a 1-year Grandparents Annual Pass (good for 2 adults 60+ and 2 children ages 2-18). Children can make a handcrafted fish thumbprint card to give to their grandparents. “It’s a small, personal gift to commemorate the experience,” explains Bauer.
Other activities throughout the multigenerational celebration include appearances by land shark Finn at 11:30am and 2pm.
Grandparents’ Day weekend discounts can be applied only to in-person admission purchased September 7 – 9 before 4pm at the Aquarium front Ticket Counter. Admission must be used that day and cannot be combined with any other offer.
